What the app does

Olive lets a restaurant text its food distributors from its own Olive phone number, keeps those conversations in one place, remembers what distributors said (prices, cutoffs, delivery times), and keeps a wishlist of items you want a better price on.

What we collect

Your mobile number (to sign you in with a texted code) and your restaurant's name. The distributors you add: their name, contact name, phone number and what they carry. Every text sent and received through Olive for your restaurant. Notes you ask Olive to remember, your wishlist, and the questions you ask Olive. If you use the microphone in the web app, the audio clip is sent once to be turned into text and is not stored. We do not collect your location, contacts, photos or advertising identifiers, and the app has no ads or third-party tracking.

How we use it

Only to run the service for your restaurant: send and receive your texts, show your conversations, find prices and dates in distributors' replies, answer your questions about them, and draft messages you choose to send. Each restaurant's data is kept separate; one restaurant never sees another's.

Who processes it

Telnyx sends and receives the text messages. MongoDB Atlas stores the data and Amazon Web Services hosts the server. We do not sell your data or share it with anyone else.

OpenAI, only if your restaurant turns it on

If your restaurant turns on “Let Olive use OpenAI” (at sign-up or later in Me), OpenAI processes your distributors' messages for Olive to write summaries and suggest replies, pull out prices and dates, answer questions you ask Olive, and transcribe web voice clips. OpenAI processes this data for Olive under its API terms and does not use it to train its models. When it is off, nothing is sent to OpenAI. Only the restaurant's owner can change it. Turning it off stops all AI processing and deletes the summaries, extracted facts and search index Olive made from your texts; the texts themselves are kept until the account is deleted.

Text messages

Olive texts you only your sign-in codes. Texts to your distributors are sent only when you send them. Distributors can reply STOP at any time and Olive will not text them again.

Keeping and deleting your data

We keep your data, including every text, until your account is deleted. You can delete your account in the app (Me, then Delete account): that removes your sign-in and, if you are the restaurant's only member, the restaurant's distributors, messages, notes and wishlist straight away. Database backups may hold copies for a short time after that. You can also email reshad@callolive.ai to ask for a copy or deletion of your data.

Children

The app is for restaurant businesses and is not meant for children under 13.
